A traditional church wedding is the dream of many wedding couples, but decorating a church can present a few challenges. Churches are used for many functions and sometimes have special rules for
wedding ceremonies. Speak with the church’s pastor early to be aware of what you can do and what you can not. Below are a few examples of little touches that can make your
wedding ceremony at church look elegant, classic and sacred.
Pull bows and
tulle are a simple yet elegant addition that can be used to decorate the ends of the church pews. You may drape tulle across the ends of the pews and add fresh flowers for a little punch of style. Hung at the end of the pew, these baskets are filled with
little organza bags containing individual portions of wedding rice. You can place more floral at the edges of staircases or entrance ways. If the church is new and more generic looking, you can place large bouquets of flowers near the altar to help frame the bride and groom.
Aisle runners are used to draw attention to the passage the bride will take. Scatter with real or
silk flower petals to make a beautiful statement.
